First off - Vitamin E, because it is one of the best skin healing oils out there! Also did you know Calendula flowers are known to help reduce swelling and rev up blood flow which can encourage the skin to heal faster. It's also antibacterial which can help keep wounds free from infection. The coconut oil can also help add to the anti-fungal/anti-bacterial healing properties. Tamanu oil is also known to help regenerate dead skin cells, and known to be an anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic and antioxidant! We chose these below essential oils based off their own healing powers - Lemon may quite possibly be the most powerful antimicrobial oil out there because it cleanses toxins from the body and purifies the skin (Lemon oil can cause you to be more sensitive to the sun, so please do not use this balm and then sit in the sun for prolonged periods!) Lavender is great for healing abrasions (including burns) and Tea Tree was added to help ensure the fresh wounds don't get infected!
